Paula’s Choice Skincare in 1995, has been a staple among devotees of the field. The latest Paulas Choice Facial Exfoliant for Blackheads has been the newest addition to my collection and I totally love it!
Blackheads (and their sinister cousin, whiteheads) have plagued me for years; they simply cannot let me go. I have some really big pores on my T-zone that can’t help but get clogged with dirt.
The fact that dramatically improves skin’s texture for radiant youthful even-toned skin, makes it a perfect pick for people aged 25 and above. Is Paula’s Choice Facial Exfoliant even worth it? Let’s find out!
Product Description
This unusual Paula’s Choice Facial Exfoliant is applied to the entire face, neck, and eye area using your fingertips or a cotton pad.
Although many comparable treatments on the market also contain 2% BHA, they frequently lack the proper pH balance.
The recognizable bottle would be easy to locate on a bathroom shelf for someone who knows the hyaluronic acid from their niacinamide.
Since essential components lose their potency when exposed to air and light and can become contaminated, Paula’s Choice Skincare forgoes the use of jars and transparent packaging.
Ideal for all skin types can use this gentle, non-abrasive, leave-on exfoliator daily. Dead skin cells are removed, pores are cleaned for a more even tone, and fine lines and wrinkles are diminished.

Review
I was skeptical about the reaction of the product on combination skin. I use a cotton round to apply it, concentrating on my nose, upper lip, and chin since those are where my blackheads tend to gather.
I’ve become accustomed to the formula’s texture, and after around eight months of use, it has earned a spot on my sacred list of repurchases that will be made automatically.
My favorite feature is how mild it is; unlike other chemical and physical exfoliators I’ve used, it doesn’t burn, itch, or sting.
All Paula’s Choice products are fragrance-free as well, which is a refreshing change from recent introductions that were too fragrant.
It is worth the risk, in my opinion. The word “exfoliate” or “it’s not a scrub” is also present. Be aware that this product is not an exfoliating scrub; it has a rather smooth consistency that is almost like a serum.
Is Paulas Choice Facial Exfoliant a cleanser or should I cleanse + exfoliate first and then apply this as a toner?
Applying a toner first before Paulas Choice Facial Exfoliant can prevent this from penetrating as quickly if you’re unfamiliar with exfoliating with a BHA this potent (which could be a good thing).
The fastest exfoliation can be achieved by applying your toner right after. Start gradually, every other day, if you haven’t used a chemical exfoliator in a while.
Conclusion
It is worth the risk, in my opinion. The word “exfoliate” or “it’s not a scrub” is also present. Be aware that this product is not an exfoliating scrub; it has a rather smooth consistency that is almost like a serum.
It doesn’t smell like anything, thus I only awarded the aroma three stars. My sensitive skin does not react to this at all, I haven’t experienced any redness, itching, or burning. It is advised to use sun protection as well.
