Before purchasing these lip products, keep in mind that they do not feel like traditional lip oils. The slide texture is slight, and there isn’t as much shine as in other formulas. As a result, you shouldn’t use them instead of lip gloss or on top of lipsticks.
When Selena Gomez, the founder of Rare Beauty, launched the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil on her Instagram page in March, I was immediately fascinated.
The texture was smooth and shiny, and it created the perfect kiss of color while making some game-changing claims.
Still, these are stand-alone lip tints that will undoubtedly be the ideal, lightweight summer lip product. As long as you don’t expect a similar finish to that of a Dior or Clarins lip oil, these are an excellent addition to your makeup collection.
Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Review

Rare Beauty released new glosses called the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oils ($20) in eight colors, and they’ve taken over my social media page. I like how they hyped this up with some pretty fun-looking events, and I think the product is truly unique.
They’re currently available at Sephora, and the majority of the hues have just been refilled. The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oils have a stain and a gel-to-oil composition.
They have a beveled sponge tip applicator and glide on the lips with a weightless balmy feel.
When applied, the substance feels almost gel-like. The colors are lovely for someone who like wearing bright lips.
How to Apply
The use of lip oil is quite simple. Just apply the color directly onto your lips with the doe-foot applicator as you would a standard lip gloss or liquid lipstick.
The more layers you apply, the more shine and pigment payoff you’ll achieve.
TIP: To achieve a fuller, more defined look, line your lips with Kind Words Matte Lip Liner (available separately).

My Review
The Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil is “comfy,” just as Gomez promised. The main ingredients are jojoba seed oil and sunflower oil, both of which are high in antioxidants and help to protect the skin’s barrier, allowing it to seal in moisture.
The oil truly melts into your lips, leaving them cushiony and nourished but not sticky or clumpy. It has a texture I’ve never felt on my lips before. While it is an oil, it is not thin or oily.
At first, it seems thick and comparable to a slick gloss, but the mixture slowly dries and transforms into a shiny hue. Other lip oils initially felt similar, but they always absorbed too quickly, were too oily, or both.
The shine fades with time, but the color remains and gives your lips that just-ate-a-Popsicle look.
So, if you want to boost the glossy effect without adding color, I’d recommend finishing with your favorite lip treatment or clear lip gloss.
