Redend Point Sherwin Williams Color of the Year 2023

Sherwin Willaims announced Redent Point as the color of the year 2023. Followed by the Colormix Forecast palette that consists of Biome, Lore, Nexus, and Origin.

Redend Point SW 9081 was one of 40 colors chosen from the Nexus palette, which is one of the four Color themes, used to create the color of the year, and was inspired by the healing and restorative energy that this worn-in clay shade radiates.

After the announcement of the most color palettes of 2023, various paints brands like PPG Paints, Dulux, and Benjamin Moore have come up with their final pick, the color of the year and so did Sherwin Williams who recently announced Redend Point as the color of the year 2023.

Redend Point, described as “not too light or too dark, not too melancholy or too sweet” by Sue Wadden, head of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, is a classic illustration of a mid-tone neutral.

It can be used to add color to cooler neutrals like Homburg Gray from Sherwin-Williams’ 2023 Colormix Forecast, while also taming more obviously vibrant options.

Introduction to Redent Point Sherwin Williams Color of the year 2023

Redend Point was motivated by the notion of discovering beauty outside of oneself. It is a reassuring color that encourages empathy and connection in any setting. According to a news statement from Sue Wadden, Sherwin-Williams’ head of color marketing.

“It makes sense to use this shade if you want a cheery, warm neutral for both interiors and exteriors. I’m eager to see how users tinker with it and decorate their environments.”

In contrast to the relative coolness of Evergreen Fog, Urbane Bronze, and Naval—the three previous colors of the year from Sherwin-Williams—Redend Point points to the gradual warming of neutrals in the 2020s following a decade characterized by taupes and greys.

Wadden interprets it as a sign that “energizing” earth tones are popular, which might be interpreted as an extension of the trend toward natural, healing hues like greens and blues from the previous year.

In a conversation with Forbes Home Wadden mentions “confident colors that follow current trends can achieve even more than that, allowing homeowners to explore the color and mood of their room, enliven a space, and celebrate personal expression, because, let’s face it, when we redo a room, we want that room to feel unique and not like everyone else’s home.”

He also added that “Rooms painted in red have a stimulating effect and can elicit emotions of comfort, motivation, and warmth.

Orange-painted spaces foster creativity, warmth, and self-assurance, and they can act as gathering places for people.”

How to Add Redend Point Sw 9081 at Home

Redend Point is a remarkably adaptable color and has a place in many spaces all over the house. When utilized on all four walls, it can produce a welcoming doorway or a peaceful bedroom.

As Wadden put it, “I love to see color used in unexpected ways, like maybe painting a piece of furniture or décor to make a big impact in a room, painting it on the ceiling as a stunning accent color on the fourth wall, or even painting a mudroom with the ceiling, walls, and trim all in this blush-beige.

Try mixing Redend Point in with some of the more fundamental neutrals you probably already have if you’re ready to try it out in your house but aren’t seeking a complete color revolution.

The exclusive collection includes stoneware vases, hand-printed linen tablecloths, and each highlighting the hue or enhancing its vibes that includes products from a variety of retailers.
